moved into my room on campus today though i was pushing it back, and postponing moving like mad, cos i have some stupid debate squad meeting to decide the future of the squad this year. Basically, have to bring my schedule along and see if training has to be held on some other day this year. I am prepared to scream "dont make it on wednesdays! you will kill whatever's remaining from my already damaged social life!"

anyways, been a pretty empty day cos wednesdays are pretty much my free days.

getting a gorgeous new pair of glasses on friday, so goodbye blindness!

thinking of throwing a party at home 2 saturdays from now but still contemplating feasibility (yeah, as much as i would love a little hedonism in life, i am not much of a party thrower, nor a social butterfly).

a few things,

it's my sister-in-law's birthday today and she turns...er.....27! She's currently in India so no cake *sigh*

It's my eldest brother's birthday this friday! He turns 28! so hopefully some cake that day! (a bit sad, cos i am the only family around on his special day).

on the bright side, my weekends seem to be packed. karaoke, womad, japanese festival, ocean band gigs, parties...:)

Eh, enough self-indulgent talk...I will want to make a statement about "Hate crimes"

"Just because you're angry at a group of people who seem to be out of their minds and hurting innocent people, does not mean it is justified to take justice in your own hands and deal with it retributively. Targetting a group of innocent people because you think they are part of the community that propagates the hate is not justifiable. We need to distinguish ourselves from the enemy in this civilised world we call our home, we cannot stoop to their levels of violence and crime. It would only be a victory for them, they want to see us out of our minds like them, they want us hurt, vengeful, enraged. We need to be better than that. We can fight this with compassion and warmth, and love."
