you know it's the first day of uni when:
1. you have no classes but you're in school anyway
2. you meet the the good old faces rushing to their own classes
3. the place is filled with clueless freshmen
4. the library is annoyingly packed, so much so you have to make small talk with acquaintances for a chance to use their comps
5. the printing station is filled with people scrambling to print, copy and buy notes
6. there are loads of new foreign exchange guys...er...i mean students ^^ :D
7. you get lost in the the new building your school moved to, by default, making you feel like a complete freshmen.

oh gawd.

Okay, I will give up on trying to add more pictures of myself. All pictures courtesy of Friso who took soo many pictures on the 1st of july in Crazy Elephant for The Ocean Band's last gig here in S'pore before their current European tour. :)

{Tuesday, July 20, 2004 . }

I am suffering from severe lethargy and procrastination, the two things that should disappear by the time classes start next week. Why? Let's just say, to review the stuff I wanted to do this summer:
1.
"The trick now lies in spending three months of vacations fruitfully...and the biggest obstacle that's ahead of me is getting a job...Then of course, there's trying to get an internship..."
I tried and I failed miserably. There was that tutoring job I made a total 50 bucks out of and then the selling coupons thing where I made...3. next up:
2.
"a) TRAVEL!!!"
No I did not travel this vacations even though I could have zipped up to Hong Kong to my parents but hey, I am not too bright with these logistical things. On the bright side, might be vacationing with the entire family when bro and parents fly down in a resort in Malaysia during the National Day holidays next month. But that doesn't quite count does it? sigh~
3.
b)DRINK!!!
Ah...did that, a bit, not too much, in moderation...:P
4.
c)SHOP!!!
Ah..yes, that I did, bought a bass guitar and other stuff, and recently (like yesterday) I splurged on stuff in Borders because I am a sucker for CDs and stationery, the smell of new paper and books and stuff like that...that was 75 bucks I could not afford. >.<
5.
d)GO FOR GIGS COMING UP HERE IN S'PORE!!!
None except for The Ocean Band ones, cos well, could hardly afford any of the tickets. :P
6.
e) BUM BUM BUM!!!
Oh, I did THAT beautifully!

Other things that were on my list unofficially:
Go give and pass my Basic Theory test ~ I haven't even registered for it yet.
Write a novel ~ Abandoned the first day I embarked upon it
Colour/Highlight Hair ~ Officially cannot afford that 'cos school's about to open
Go to KL to meet friends from Junior College days ~ Oh I don't know know what happened to that one...*tear*
Finish my 1500 jigsaw puzzle that's a picture of the scenic Lake Como, Italy ~ I am still trying and have been for 8 years
Contact a friend I haven't heard from since last Christmas ~ errr...
Actually take my dog out for a walk ~ Hmmmm...
Practice the bass ~ >.<

Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

On other news, The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown is a terribly intriguing book, what saddens me is that it's a sequel, so I feel guilty not having read the first book "Angels and Demons" before starting on this one.

Oh yes, I know, it's been awhile. Still, I will try to do my best to entertain on this beloved blog.

Now, I am still reeling from the fact that Greece won the Euro 2004 finals Sunday night because I so wanted Czech Republic to (not that they even got to the finals, hell they could not even beat Greece). Nevertheless, it was quite refreshing to see such a small nation with no big names on their team win the entire thing...very...*tear* David and Goliath don't you think...*sigh*...God does exist then...

One thing I did learn while watching the match at a friend's place on Monday morning (local Singapore time) was that Carlsberg...
tastes like piss. >.< I am sorry, but it really does.

In other news, I am broke yet again, surviving on bits of money borrowed here and there and doing some low-budget things like taking the taxi instead of the bus, having sushi for lunch instead of eating home, drinking alcohol instead of water, etc. I am very thrifty I know.

Oh, and on the previous two wednesdays, they have been showing movies with Charlize Theron
in them, namely, the Devil's Advocate and The Astronaut's Wife and basically they are both pretty weird-ass movies leading me to conclude that while she may be hot, she's..weird. But a good actress nonetheless.

What I will now proceed to say is that Spiderman 2 is not a good movie. It's cheesy, it's predictable..and well, I even preferred a Hindi movie, which I watched after Spidey 2, called Lakshya over it (and basically that's not a good sign if you know me well enough)...I will rest my case.

I am currently in my university's library, here because I miss it soo much and want school to start cos summer sucks. :P

Oh well, 'nuff said.
